Sequoyah Technologies LLC, a provider of information technology infrastructure to businesses, announced Thursday it will acquire a fellow Tulsa-based company, Cyte Technologies Inc.

Cyte, founded in 1998, provides data brokering technology largely to the oil and gas industry.

In a press release, Sequoyah CEO Hank Haines said the acquisition will help his company better visualize data capture and movement as well as manage risk in its IT infrastructure, among other enhancements.

"We can now offer our customers a unified platform from the data source to the Internet browser delivering the organized data to a diverse end user group from c-level executives to vendors to customers," he said.

Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed, nor was its effect on employment.

Sequoyah Technologies was founded in 1999.
