Man in wheelchair injured when hit by car

A man in a wheelchair was struck by a vehicle as he attempted to cross a downtown Tulsa street Monday evening, police said.
The collision happened in the 1500 block of South Denver Avenue about 5:30 p.m., Officer Chris Bender said.
A westbound sedan that was turning left struck the 64-year-old pedestrian as he headed east in a crosswalk, Bender said.
The man, whose name was not released, was taken in fair condition by ambulance to St. John Medical Center, authorities said.
The motorist was not arrested, but a citation could be issued after the investigation is completed, Bender said.
