Oklahoma
Record: 14-4
Looking ahead: No. 17 OU continues a 10-game homestand with a weekend series against Northwestern State on Friday (6:30 p.m.), Saturday (2 p.m.) and Sunday (1 p.m.). The Sooners also entertain Oral Roberts on Tuesday and Wednesday in a pair of 6:30 p.m. contests.
Looking back: OU had a rough weekend on the west coast, dropping two (USC, Notre Dame) of three games. The team rebounded with a pair of mid-week victories over New Mexico State.
Notable: RHP Jonathan Gray is the Big 12's pitcher of the week after registering eight strikeouts over seven scoreless innings in a win over UCLA ... IF Matt Oberste's five home runs lead the Big 12 and he is hitting .448, second in the league ... OU's pitching staff has a conference-best 164 strikeouts.
Oklahoma State
Record: 13-3
Looking ahead: Iona visits for a four-game series against the Cowboys, with a Friday game (6:30 p.m.), a Saturday doubleheader (starting at 1 p.m.) and a Sunday contest (1 p.m.). The Cowboys host Southeastern State on Wednesday.
Looking back: OSU won three of four games, including a weekend series against Loyola Marymount and a mid-week contest against Pacific.
Notable: 1B Tanner Krietemeier ranks in the top 10 in six offensive categories in the Big 12 ... C Victor Romero has three home runs and 14 RBIs this season ... RHP Jason Hursh (2.00 ERA) is 1-0 and has thrown a team-high 27 innings.
Oral Roberts
Record: 5-10
Looking ahead: Oral Roberts entertains a talented Cal State Fullerton team over the weekend. Game times are 6:30 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. Sunday. ORU also will play Tuesday and Wednesday at Oklahoma.
Looking back: ORU was swept at home by Dallas Baptist over the weekend, followed by a tough 4-3 loss to Texas on Tuesday.
Notable: The Golden Eagles have lost six consecutive games, their longest losing streak since the 2006 season ... OF Tyler Boss had two triples against Texas, the first ORU player to accomplish the feat since 2004 ... OF Graham McIntyre is batting a team-best .341.
