NORMAN - Oklahoma offensive guard Tyler Evans tore his anterior cruciate ligament for the second time in eight months this week.

Evans, a senior, reinjured his surgically repaired right knee during drills on Tuesday, placing his playing career in doubt.

"The expectation now is that he's going to have to have it redone," Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops said following Thursday's practice. "Very unfortunate for him."

Evans missed last season after tearing his ACL during August camp. He has 29 career starts and was an honorable mention All-Big 12 selection by the Associated Press and league coaches in 2011.
