A Tulsa woman has been arrested in connection to a Friday night fatal shooting.

Officers were called to the 1400 block of East Reading Street shortly after 8 p.m. and upon arrival found a 48-year-old man dead in the parking lot.

Erica Lashon Harrison, 32, was arrested on a complaint of first-degree murder, according to the arrest report.

Witnesses stated that Harrison wanted the victim, whom she knew, to leave her residence but he had refused. Harrison allegedly approached the victim while he was sitting on the back of his truck in the parking lot and shot him multiple times, officers said.

During interrogation, Harrison said she went into the house, retrieved the gun and hid it in her shirt before approaching the victim and firing three rounds. After he didn’t fall down, she returned to the house to reload, according to the report.

A Rossi .38 Special revolver was recovered from inside Harrison’s apartment, officers said. The motive for the shooting is still under investigation.

The victim's death is the 18th homicide in Tulsa this year.
