OSU’s Riley, Iowa State’s Prins honored

Oklahoma State senior Andrea Riley and Iowa State freshman Anna Prins were named Big 12 women’s basketball players of the week for season-opening games from Nov. 13-15. Riley was honored for the eighth time in her career. It was Prins’ first.

Riley led OSU to a pair of wins in the preseason WNIT over UALR and No. 19 Georgia Tech. The 5-foot-5 guard averaged 25.5 points, six rebounds, 5.5 assists and two steals. Riley moved into a tie with Texas A&M’s Takia Starks for eighth on the Big 12’s all-time scoring list with 1,977 points.

Prins scored 20 to lead ISU over Florida Atlantic.
