Oklahoma reportedly has received its 20th verbal commitment of the 2010 recruiting class in Aaron Franklin, a linebacker from Marshall, Texas.

The 6-foot-1, 206-pound Franklin told Rivals network Web site SoonerScoop.com Friday night that he chose OU over Texas, and phoned Longhorns defensive coordinator and head coach designate Will Muschamp to break the news.

"He said it's all great and he is still happy for me and said I'm a good person and wished me good luck," Franklin told SoonerScoop. "He was cool about it."

Rivals.com rates Franklin as a three-star prospect. He's the No. 70 high school outside linebacker prospect in the country, according to Rivals.com. Scout.com, however, lists Franklin as a four-star prospect and the No. 18 prep outside linebacker nationally.

Franklin reportedly had offers from Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Nebraska and Stanford, among others.

Hey, T-World, back off a little on asking sports fans to report on posting content, lest everybody stop commenting altogether.

I want to hear what others have to say, even if I disagree with it. Then, too, we're not saints ya know. We're sports fans. We can take -and dish out- more than a little profanity. Besides, it's all in good fun ya know.

Moreover, TW, the easiest thing a reader can do is stop reading upon finding a particular posting to be socially unacceptable. Said another way, chill out a little and keep the good stories and sports writ-ups coming.

Its a sad day when people think they have to use profanity to make a statement. What a waste of good space!!!!

Such a disparity between rivals and scout on rankings. He's 70th in one, and 18th in the other? Can anyone explain this?
