Report of OU-Texas prime-time kickoff false
OU's Auston English tackles Texas quarterback Colt McCoy on Oct. 16. STEPHEN PINGRY/Tulsa World

NORMAN — Heads turned this morning when a Dallas Morning News article labeled next year’s Oklahoma-Texas football game “an evening game.” After years of afternoon kickoffs, could the Red River Rivalry be moving under the Cotton Bowl lights?
Uh, no.
OU released a statement declaring the report “false,” and announced “no start time for that game has been determined, and it is unlikely that the determination will be made until this summer.”
The story detailed the DART rail system’s performance at the Oct. 17 OU-Texas game. According to Michael A. Lindenberger’s article, DART board president Gary Thomas “warned board members that the timing of the 2010 Texas-Oklahoma football game will make the crowds an even bigger challenge. Next year, it’s an evening game, with all 95,000 or so football fans letting out just about the time the final crowds from the State Fair will be seeking to leave.”

Jennewoman, it looks like it's you and me that see the absurdity of an announcement thats almost a year from now.

Jennewoman, it wasn't a top news story. And why would you click on it if you're so sick of OU football related stories? It's football season and this is Oklahoma. DUH

Stick to your knitting and QVC since you obviously have a problem with sports related topics.

I was in Phoenis this last weekend and could not find anything on the Sooners on TV or the newspapers except for the line scores at the bottom of the ESPN screen.
They don't know what they are missing.
Go Sooners
