Oklahoma’s 2010 recruiting class includes three players ranked in the top 100 by HoopGurlz.com, led by 6-foot-3 forward Jacqueline Jeffcoat of Plano West High School and 5-7 guard Aaryn Ellenberg of Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, Nev.

Jeffcoat, the daughter of former Dallas Cowboys defensive lineman Jim Jeffcoat, is ranked as the 41st overall player in this year’s class and Ellenberg is ranked 49th nationally.

“Jacqueline comes from an obvious athletic lineage,” OU coach Sherri Coale said. “She will be a great compliment to our cadre of posts as she is rangy and explosive. I can’t wait for our fans to see (Ellenberg) in action. Aaryn is a lightning quick athlete who is an explosive scorer.”

Ellenberg, who has drawn comparisons to OU junior Danielle Robinson, averaged 18.0 points as a junior.

Other Sooner signees include 6-6 Nicole Griffin, a three-time state champion at Milwaukee (Wis.) Vincent High School, 5-10 shooting guard Morgan Hook of Rogers (Ark.) High School and 5-8 guard Alexann Yancey, a teammate of Jeffcoat at Plano West.

“Nicole is a three-time state champion,” Coale said. “At 6-foot-6 she obviously gives us something we don’t have. Her length enables her to affect a lot of shots around the rim and makes her a constant threat on offense, but she has a complete skill set as well. Morgan has flown under the radar of national rankings because she has not played summer basketball on an all-star team. But she is one of the best guards in the country. Alexann is a relentless worker.”

ORU to sign three: Oral Roberts announced they will sign three players, including Victory Christian guard Christian Key and forward Lydia Ross-Miller out of Dallas. Later this week, the Golden Eagles expect to sign a 6-6 center from Lufkin, Texas. “We have needs in these areas and these girls should help us,” ORU coach Jerry Finkbeiner said.

TU signs four: The Golden Hurricane signed four players on Wednesday, two from Arlington (Texas) Summit High School in Loren McDaniel, a 6-2 forward and Taylor Hooker, a 5-10 guard. Other signees include 5-10 guard Tiayra Green and 5-11 forward Amanda Mason of McKinney (Texas) North.

“I’m excited about these four women becoming a part of our program,” Thomas-Swinson said. “These players understand what it is like to win championships, and their athleticism alone is going to aid in our up-tempo style of program.”

Mason, who averaged 12.0 points and seven rebounds as a junior, will most likely compete for a spot at guard next season for Tulsa.

Green averaged 17.8 points, 10.0 assists and 8.0 rebounds her junior year at Atlanta Riverdale.

Hooker and McDaniel led Arlington Summit to the Texas state champsionship their junior year. Hooker averaged 7.5 points, 3.2 steals and 3.0 rebounds while McDaniel 6.3 points and 6.4 rebounds last year.

OSU adds five:Oklahoma State signed five recruits, including a pair of in-state players in Coweta’s Jenni Bryan and Lawton’s Kendra Suttles.

Other recruits include Andover (Kan.) guard Tiffany Bias, Frisco (Texas) guard Jazmyn Dorsett and Omaha (Neb.) center Vicky McIntyre.

Bryan averaged 21.2 points and 11.2 rebounds for Tigers last season.

During her sophomore season, she averaged 15.3 points to lead Coweta to the state finals.

Bias is rated as the No. 23 point guard in the country by HoopGurlz.com.

Bias averaged 17.1 points and 5.4 assists to lead Andover Central to state.

Dorsett is the daughter of former Dallas Cowboys running back Tony Dorsett. She averaged 9.3 points and 6.6 years as a junior.

As a junior, McIntyre averaged 13.4 points and 9.6 rebounds while Suttles enjoyed a 15.7 scoring clip her junior season at Lawton.

“This class is a great class to back up the freshmen we brought in this year. We signed one at every position,” Budke said. “We were looking for balance and to put back-to-back classes together. There is a great mixture of kids in this class that will fit in at Oklahoma State.”
