La Salle at Tulsa: Game notes

Tulsa looks to start the season 2-0 for the second consecutive year. The Golden Hurricane hosts La Salle on Saturday afternoon.
La Salle took a 35-34 lead into intermission in Friday’s game at Oral Roberts, but hit just six second-half field goals and scored only 20 points to fall to the Golden Eagles 76-55. Ashley Gale led the Explorers with 13 points followed by Jamie Walsh with 10.
La Salle is in the midst of playing three games in four days.
Taleya Mayberry made quite an impact in her first game at Tulsa, registering 17 points, five rebounds and six steals in the team’s season-opening win over UMKC.
Tiffani Couisnard scored a career-high 15 points while Jermaine Kermis scored 11 points in her TU debut.
This is the first meeting between the two teams.
