Larrissa Williams had a team-leading 20 points and Booker T. Washington graduate Taleya Mayberry also scored in double figures with 13, helping the Tulsa women's basketball team to a 62-39 win over La Salle on Saturday afternoon at the Donald W. Reynolds Center.

TU moved to 2-0 on the season, while the Explorers fell to 1-3.

Jermaine Kermis recorded nine points and pulled down a personal-best 13 rebounds. Tiffani Couisnard and Williams each had six rebounds.

Williams started the game with a jumper 16 seconds into the game and put six points on the board in just the first 65 seconds.

TU went on a 22-8 run in the first 10 minutes. The Hurricane began the second half on an 11-2 run and led by 25 points with 1:16 remaining in the game.
