Tulsa’s basketball record remained spotless following Tuesday night’s 79-65 victory over Loyola Marymount.

Jerome Jordan had six blocks to became Tulsa’s all-time leader with 267 in his career. He surpassed Michael Ruffin’s mark of 266 to draw cheers from the 4,626 fans at the Reynolds Center.

Ben Uzoh had his sixth career double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Jordan had 11 points and Steven Idlet and Bishop Wheatley ended with 10 apiece.

The Hurricane (5-0) ended the first half with a 13-3 run to take a 46-29 lead into the locker room.

Loyola Marymount (2-4) never dipped the lead into single digits in the second half. The Lions were coming off a 67-59 road victory at USC.

Joe Richard set career highs of nine points and 10 rebounds in the win over the West Coast Conference school.

Tulsa will play its first road game on Saturday night when it faces unbeaten Missouri State. The Bears are 4-0.

Game time is 7 p.m. at JQH Arena in Springfield.

Congratulations to Jerome Jordan on breaking the record for blocked shots at TU. Coach Wojcik has the team playing very well. Let's pass the road test Saturday at Missouri State and then whip the Pokes. Go TU.
