Aug. 30 Tennessee-Chattanooga



Spent the spring breaking in new defensive coordinator Dick Hopkins and transitioning from 3-4 front to 4-3.

Sept. 6 Cincinnati



All-America DT Terrill Byrd suspended for opener (cited for marijuana) but is expected to play at OU.

Sept. 13 at Washington



Improving on defense (32 ppg) and offense (25 turnovers) was this spring's top priority.

Sept. 27 TCU



Bob Stoops finally gets a chance to avenge his only nonconference home loss, a 17-10 disaster in '05.

Oct. 4 at Baylor



New coach Art Briles spent spring looking for QB: Miami transfer Kirby Freeman or returnee Blake Szymanski.

Oct. 11 vs. Texas



New defensive coordinator Will Muschamp ratcheted up the intensity in the spring, but needs a pass rush.

Oct. 18 Kansas



QB Todd Reesing had a strong spring, but doesn't have the WR targets he did in '07 Orange Bowl run.

Oct. 25 at Kansas State



New QB coach Warren Ruggiero used spring to fine-tune QB Josh Freeman (school-record 3,353 yds).

Nov. 1 Nebraska



Husker fans confident new coach (and ex-OU defensive coordinator ) Bo Pelini is a vast improvement.

New coach Mike Sherman and defensive coordinator Joe Kines got a lot done, but much remains.

Yep...looks like another 12 win season. 13 counting the big 12 championship. 14 as long we don't play in arizona. orange bowl, here the Sooners come!!!

easy 12 win season with a schedule of nobodies b4 conference play
dont forget new orleans its where the bcs trouble started but then again the next year was a butt kicking by the trojans in the orange bowl then arizona troubles last bcs bowl win was the rose bowl so hope for that one
