Blake Griffin cited for outraging public decency

 NORMAN — Oklahoma basketball star Blake Griffin was cited for a misdemeanor early last Thursday morning after a Norman police officer observed him urinating near a fraternity parking lot.

According to the citation issued at the scene, Griffin, 19, admitted to urinating on some bushes near the parking lot at 701 College Avenue, the address for OU's Sigma Phi Epsilon house, at approximately 12:50 a.m.

Griffin told the officer he couldn't leave the area because he had to stay with a friend.

According to the citation, Griffin was uncooperative initially and refused to sign the ticket for outraging public decency.

OU officials confirmed coach Jeff Capel would handle the matter internally without commenting publicly.

Griffin averaged 14.7 points and 9.1 rebounds to earn first-team All-Big 12 Conference honors as a freshman last year. He is the No. 1 overall pick in the mock 2009 NBA Draft put together by NBAdraft.net.

blake should have wizzed on that officer's leg, now that would have been an outrage to public denency.
