The Picker's tell-all test of true, false

True or False?
1. TU doesn't need this.
True. TU goes from big mo to slo-mo this week as it plays Central Valley Technical Mineral Arkansas State.
Filling the great new atrium stadium could be a chore.
You don't back into the top 20. The only solution is to score 99.
2. Phil Mickelson should be used to meet and greet in the hospitality tent at the next Ryder Cup, not play golf.
True. This guy looks like the head pro at the Stepford Country Club, with that pasted-on smile; he's about as tough as chicken noodle.
3. If the winners of the Big 12 and the SEC are tied with undefeated records, or are tied with one-loss records, the Big 12 winner has the inside track on the national title game.
False. You can't ignore the best team from the best conference. The SEC champ has been too good lately, the Big 12 champ too ordinary.
4. Les Miles is the best.
True. Nobody in college calls plays better.
Miles has realized that no field goal is a gimmie, that when you try to kick one, 20 things could happen and 19 and a half are bad, that it is safer to go for the touchdown, even late.
5. ESPN should be ashamed.
True.
Two words sum up the network's college football credibility: Lou Holtz.
6. If USC wins out, it should retain its No. 1 rating.
False. The Pac-10 is so lousy, USC should be punished if it plays a close game against one of those bums. What's fair about college football, anyway.
8. Suddenly, Ohio State is very much underrated.
Believe it or not, true. The freshman quarterback looks like Vince Young, a great single wing back.
9. Jenks and Union are in big trouble as far as winning another state title goes.
False. Couldn't they bring some guys out of redshirt seasons late?
THE PICKS
Saturday
TCU at OU (-17 1/2):
Why TCU coach Patterson doesn't land a real job is one of college football's more intriguing questions.
All he does is win at The College Unknown (TCU).
According to those right there with Stoopsie, the OU coach is fired up over alleged previous spying possibilities before an upset in Norman. And when Stoopsie gets to cranking that visor bill, you know what that means: more scores and a few years ago won't even matter.
Now, if the OU firecracker would get as fired up over a BCS Bowl, we'd all be sitting pretty.
OU by 20.
Troy at Oklahoma State (-16 1/2):
You want to see OSU on a screen, it'll be a home movie; this, next week versus the Aggies are not on TV.
The Cowboys have been able to hide a debatable defense among the chumps.
Another attitude angle applies here, as Troy gave OSU the taunting business one year back.
Occupied seats should outnumber empties.
OSU by 17.
Purdue at Notre Dame (-2 1/2):
ND defines unwarranted arrogance.
The retiring Purdue coach may have already checked it in.
ND by 3.
Virginia Tech at Nebraska (-6 1/2):
Nebraska is back. Tech is backwards.
Nebraska by 7.
Alabama at Georgia (-6 1/2):
Competition like this is why a tie should always go to the SEC in the national picture.
Georgia by 10.
Illinois at Penn State (-14):
JoePa's Alleged U the last hope for Medium 10 Conference.
Penn State by 2.
Tennessee at Auburn (-6):
Will Fulmer volunteer to leave?
Could see three safeties here.
Auburn by 10.
Colorado at Florida State (-6):
Lippy Buff coach Haskins catches another big name on the skids.
Colorado by 3.
Arkansas at Texas (-28):
And exactly where are all the Ark fans who wanted Houston Nutt gone?
Texas by 30.
Sunday
Arizona at the Jets (-3):
Favre moves about like he was making another of those Wrangler jeans commercials.
Jets by 1.
Kansas City at Denver (-9 1/2):
Anybody who knows how the KC coach keeps his job, please wake up and raise a hand.
Denver by 13.
San Francisco at New Orleans (-6 1/2):
The NO coach talks a better game than he diagrams.
NO by 7.
Minnesota at Tennessee (-3):
The combined ages of the quarterbacks approach the seriously senior level.
Gus Forgot: Tennessee by 1.
Washington at Dallas (-10):
Did the Dallas defense improve markedly when Roy Williams sat with injury?
Dallas by 13.
Eagles (-3) at Chicago:
Could redefine low-scoring.
Bears by 2.
Monday
Baltimore at the Steelers (-7 1/2):
Not quite as exciting as black-and-blue division.
These go kicking and crawling.
Steelers by 9.

My pick of the Thursday night USC vs Oregon game: USC by 17.
I think the Ark and Tex game could be closer than imagined (recall when they played last).
As far as the Ala. and Georgia game is concerned, just wondering how long the overtime portion of the game will last (if played)!
Should be a super S.A.T (Standardized Athletic Test) Saturday!

Wonder if we can watch the TCU vs. OU game on the new scoreboard at TU since that game will be over by the end of the first quarter?

Picker, don't you normally pick the TU game?! If not, then I have a really bad memory!

Dad: Glad you're improving.
Mr. Twister: You're onto something with Ore St. plus, 26 is too many to give down any road.
Swami: Alabama has a new quarterback since last week?
Iflyfast: Putting OU on the TU scoreboard screen is funny; and a reasonable request.
Ebee: The team TU is playing is so unranked, I couldn't even guess at a point spread that would be reasonable. There is no official line. What's fair, 50?

Texas by 30."
Hey I am here. Nutt left nothing to work with did he? I am sure he will do well this week too at Florida. Hey I still like you picker.

I have to preface this with I am attending U of A and an OSU alum. So, I'm a fan of both.
I think I'd rather have Houston Nutt still around than Petrino. Let's be honest with ourselves if we wanted a coaching change this is the exact opposite of what we wanted. Every indication is that since this season is a rebuilding season Petrino will likely quit at the end of it. Why would we ever hire him?
