OU: Report Card

Offense: A

The Sooners imposed their will in the ground game, rushing for 188 yards in the first half alone and finishing with 274. Quarterback Sam Bradford was typically sharp, completing 86 percent of his passes before taking a seat.

Within the first unit, there were no sacks or turnovers as Oklahoma built a 41-point lead.

Defense: B

Consistent pressure from the defensive line, usually good coverage from the back seven, and a steady diet of blitzes from both linebackers and defensive backs kept the Huskies down most of the day.

Washington got 153 of its first 237 yards on the last drive of the second quarter and first drive of the third quarter.

Special teams: B-

Once again, kickoff coverage was troublesome, with most of Matt Moreland's kicks not reaching the end zone. Sooners tacklers were shaky early, but got it straightened out later in the game.

Mike Knall's punts were strong, though two touchbacks could have been covered inside the 5.

Jimmy Stevens missed another extra point.

Again...you're too liberal with the grade for this team's special team's play. I'd say it's more like a C- or D+.

Two kickoff returns past the 40. Two punts that could have been covered inside the ten that instead went into the endzone for touchbacks. ANOTHER missed extra point. And a punt formation that we couldn't line up in correctly (resulting in a penalty...that negated a roughing-the-punter penalty on WU).

I like our team...and like our chances both offensively and defensively. But in Bigger games, special teams can win or lose it for us. Right now...we've got big questions.
