State schools going for unprecedented 5-0 starts to season

Tulsa, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State have been winning at an unprecedented pace this football season.

For the first time in history, all three schools have started the same season with 4-0 records. They will try to extend that winning streak Saturday.

All three teams are double-digit favorites to win. According to oddsmakers, Tulsa is a 14-point favorite against Rice, Oklahoma is a 27-point favorite against Baylor and Oklahoma State is a 24 1/2 -point favorite against Texas A&M.

The last time Tulsa started a season 5-0 was in 1945. The last 5-0 start for OU and OSU happened in the same season — 2004.
