Injury report: Two days ago, it appeared that three Oklahoma regulars might not be available for Saturday's game against No. 5-ranked Texas. But after practice on Monday, coach Bob Stoops raised the hopes of Sooner fans everywhere.

"Everyone practiced to some degree today," Stoops said. "And right now our trainers are pretty optimistic and feel that everyone will be ready to play. Now, I'm not going to detail it all week on who is where, what percentage — I don't know how to do any of that. It's their feeling today that everyone's expected to play. If I know at one point that someone isn't going to play, then I'll say so."

The question marks surrounded a pair of captains in defensive tackle Gerald McCoy and center Jon Cooper, and defensive tackle DeMarcus Granger, a former starter who hasn't played since a foot injury at Washington. Cooper (knee) and McCoy (toe) were injured in last week's 49-17 win at Baylor.

"They couldn't have picked a better week to come back," defensive tackle Adrian Taylor said.

Said McCoy, "If you're gonna come back, this is the week to do it."

Stoops said reserve tight end Eric Mensik and reserve defensive back Jonathan Nelson are "still on crutches."

Fair GameDay: When ESPN's "College GameDay" rolls onto a campus, it's a significant production, and painted, costumed or sign-toting fans love to create pandemonium. Now imagine that atmosphere at the State Fair of Texas.

The first hour of this week's "GameDay" telecast
will originate from outside the Cotton Bowl, while the second hour will take place from inside the stadium.

The show begins at 9 a.m., and the game kicks off just after 11.

McCoy squared: OU's Gerald McCoy hopes to get up close and personal with Texas' Colt McCoy. Last week, both were named to the AFCA Good Works Team, but both said Monday they hope to do some good work against the other Saturday.

"This is going to be an awesome game," Colt McCoy said. "Two top five teams in the Cotton Bowl in a rivalry game. The atmosphere in the game is awesome. It is a fun week. I love this week every year."

Said Gerald McCoy, "He's not a running quarterback. He stands back there in the pocket. But if he does run, he can run. He can run."

Offensive boom: Oklahoma needs 10 points to become the first college football team to score 30,000 points in its history.
