OU: Report Card

Offense: C

Another big passing day by Sam Bradford (387 yards, five TDs), but that was torpedoed by an inability to rush the football (48 yards on 26 attempts). Until the fourth quarter, the best rushing play was a fake punt. The no-huddle tempo eventually hurt the defense thanks to back-to-back three-and-outs and a three-play possession that ended with an interception.

Texas' offense gained 438 yards and put up 38 points, but it was how the Longhorns did it — scoring drives of 10 plays, 57 yards, 12-80, 6-51, 12-89, 8-74 and 6-80 — that hurt the most. The 'Horns had the ball for 37 minutes, 10 seconds, and converted six third-down plays on those scoring drives.

Special teams: D

The lack of kickoff coverage finally came back to hurt the Sooners. Jordan Shipley returned a kickoff right up the middle, then slipped untouched to the outside on a 96-yard runback. On the other four returns, UT averaged just 17.8 yards. Mike Knall's fake punt attempt seemed ill-fated at first, but he made a nice run, then got chased down because two players didn't block.
