NORMAN — Manuel Johnson returned from the locker room, his left arm wrapped and immobile after his left elbow had been dislocated on Oklahoma's fifth play Saturday.

He made his way to the huddle of wide receivers on the OU bench, motioned with his good arm and, according to fellow wideout Juaquin Iglesias, said: "Let's go! Let's keep it going!"

That the Sooners did, and Kansas never caught up in a 45-31 loss for the Jayhawks.

Iglesias set school records with 10 receptions and 178 yards in the first half. He had an OU-record 12 grabs for 191 by the final gun, while Quentin Chaney, in because Johnson was out, had six catches for 105 yards.

That production, combined with Ryan Broyles' four receptions, and the 21-yarder Johnson produced on the play in which he was hurt, helped Sam Bradford to his record-shattering afternoon.

"They just have a lot of depth on offense," Kansas coach Mark Mangino said. "They do a good job of shuttling guys on and off the field, and we just couldn't keep up with it."

Iglesias, who passed Malcolm Kelly for second place behind Mark Clayton on OU's career receiving yardage list, was the Jayhawks' most hopeless cause. He abused left cornerback Kendrick Harper for much of the first half, but also took his turn on right corner Corrigan Powell and free safety Justin Thornton.

Iglesias didn't change his routes after Johnson's injury, just his attitude.

"I felt more to step up as a leader," he said, " just tried to talk to everybody and keep everybody going."

Chaney played that senior's role equally well, burning Kansas corner Chris Harris for 35- and 38-yard strikes to spark a pair of third-quarter touchdown drives.

Iglesias sets single-game record

OU senior wide receiver Juaquin Iglesias set the school single-game receptions record and moved into second place on the Sooners’ single-game receiving yards chart with his 12-catch, 191-yard effort on Saturday against Kansas. The top five in school history in each category are listed below:
