OU: Report card

Offense: A

A modern-day school record 55 points and 399 yards at halftime actually made the second half a bit uncomfortable. Offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson said his unit plays better when it plays fast, but the Sooners didn't want to run up the score or put QB Sam Bradford at risk.

Defense: C-

Too frequently, Sooner defensive backs failed to hold their coverage on K-State's speedy receiver corps. That allowed QB Josh Freeman time to get away from the pass rush.

Special teams: D

Missed an extra point. Had a punt blocked (after another high snap). Gave up another 75-yard kickoff return. Almost didn't recover a surprise onside kick. The positives: Ryan Broyles' 68-yard punt return for a touchdown and DeMarco Murray's 37-yard kickoff return.

I always love these "report cards", because writers in general don't know what the Hell they are talking about. Case in point here. Sir, it's obvious that you have never played football, never suited up for two-a-days, and are not well versed in reporting football. Let me assist, please, with all due respect.

Offense: D - Played well in the first half; second, pathetic. Play calling horrendous, as if Wilson is trying to prove that we can run. Should concentrate more on calling plays that we do well.

Defense: F - Outside of McCoy and Lewis, everyone played very poorly. Hard hitting and KSU's poor passing game helped out here.

Special Teams: D - Only because Coach Stoops took over in the second half (did you see him coaching?). Whoever handles these duties has their job on the line.

Passing game: F - Bradford 40%, no thanks though to all of the dropped balls.

Running Game: C - decent, but I could run through those guys.

Good Lord help us against osu and tech; hoping for the best, but fearing the worst. OU is not the 4th best team in the land. Nowhere close.
