OU: Know The Foe

Looking back: Nebraska held off Baylor 32-20 Saturday, but it took some effort. The Bears led 20-17 at halftime, and blew a 19-yard field goal try which would have upped the margin to 23-17 in the third quarter. The Huskers responded with back-to-back Joe Ganz-to-Nate Swift touchdown passes to put away the game and raise their record to 5-3 overall and 2-2 in the Big 12.

About the offense: Ganz is completing 70 percent of his passes to rank 14th nationally. He is on pace to break Zac Taylor's single-season school passing yardage record. Swift, who broke Nebraska's career receptions record against Baylor, is his favorite target, but there are plenty of receivers to go around.

About the defense: Much has been made of coach Bo Pelini's withholding the traditional Blackshirts to Husker defenders. But then, why hand them out? Nebraska is 66th nationally in defense, and just allowed Baylor to rush for 216 yards, its best output in a Big 12 game since 1997.

About special teams: The Huskers have returned both a kickoff and a punt for a touchdown. Like OU, however, they have struggled in coverage, ranking 77th and 76th nationally against kickoffs and punts. Also, the only NCAA team that, statistically, punts worse than Nebraska is Tulane.
