A&M time not set: The kickoff time for Oklahoma's Nov. 8 game at Texas A&M won't be set until Sunday following this week's Big 12 Conference games. ABC has invoked its six-day window for announcing its Nov. 8 Big 12 options. The OU-A&M game will be shown on either FSN at 11 a.m., or on ABC at 2:30 p.m. or 7 p.m.

Dillard's return: Nebraska's visit to Owen Field would be ideal if Phillip Dillard, a Cornhusker linebacker from Jenks, was healthy. Instead, he has an ankle injury and is listed by head coach Bo Pelini as "day to day."

Pelini said he had no intention of playing Dillard if he is still hurting, regardless of how bad Dillard wants to play against the Sooners.

"Well, I mean, he'd have to be healthy," Pelini said. "We've got to put the guys out that are healthy, ready to go and prepared to play a good football game. It has nothing to do whether he's from Oklahoma or out of this country, for that matter. His health, that'll take care of itself. If he's ready to go, then we'll play him. If he's not, then we're not going to put him in a situation to fail."

Similar situation: The same thing happened to OU tight end Brody Eldridge, who sprained an ankle against Texas and had to miss consecutive games against his home-state schools, Kansas and Kansas State. Eldridge — whom coach Bob Stoops said is getting more reps in practice and should play against Nebraska — is from La Cygne, Kan.

"It was a tough deal for Brody," said OU tight ends coach Kevin Wilson. "He's a tough player and a prideful man. He gets two chances in his career to play against Kansas and Kansas State with rotation of the league.

"He's missed an opportunity, and it's unfortunate for him."

Bradford a semifinalist: OU's Sam Bradford is the only sophomore among 13 semifinalists for the Davey O'Brien Award, given to the nation's top collegiate quarterback.

Bradford is among six Big 12 QBs on the list, which will be pared to three finalists Nov. 24. The winner will be revealed Dec. 11 during the ESPNU College Football Awards Show in Orlando. To vote, see tulsaworld.com/obrien.
