Heisman watch: If the Internet breakdowns are correct, Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford must come from behind to capture the Heisman Trophy.

Bradford trails both Texas Tech's Graham Harrell and Texas' Colt McCoy according to ESPN.com, SI.com, HeismanPundit.com and the Scripps Howard/Rocky Mountain News poll. Bradford trails Harrell but leads McCoy in the Cleveland Plain Dealer breakdown.

OU released some updated numbers Monday to remind Heisman voters, not to mention the national media, of the kind of season Bradford is having.

He is first nationally with 38 touchdown passes, despite the fact he ranks 15th in pass attempts.

He is second nationally with 3,406 passing yards, despite the fact he has thrown 133 fewer passes than Harrell, the national leader in yardage.

He is second nationally in passing efficiency, behind Tulsa's David Johnson.

And he is fourth nationally in total offense despite playing on a team that runs an average 42 times for an average 194 yards.

Murray on the move: For all the talk about how he has lost a step since his freshman year, OU's DeMarco Murray is putting together one impressive season.

The sophomore tailback made a career-high seven catches for 63 yards at Texas A&M last Saturday, a nice complement to his 123 yards on the ground. Toss in his kickoff returns, Murray accumulated 242 all-purpose yards, giving him 1,660 for the season, No. 10 on the Sooners' single-season all-purpose yardage list.

"Whenver I get the ball, I'm going to try to make something big happen," he said Saturday night.

Rest time: The Sooners will take advantage of their upcoming Saturday off by downshifting during practice this week.

"We'll work Monday through Thursday. Monday and Thursday will be a little lighter, a little shorter on the field and a little less contact for sure," coach Bob Stoops said. "Tuesday and Wednesday will still be modified to some degree. Then we'll give them the weekend off."

They forgot to mention that Bradford rarely finishes a game.
