Bradford by the numbers: Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford heads into the biggest game of his career the second-most efficient passer in the nation, behind Tulsa's David Johnson. Graham Harrell, who quarterbacks No. 2 Texas Tech against the No. 5 Sooners Saturday night, is seventh. He is fifth in the Big 12 Conference, behind Bradford, Zac Robinson, Colt McCoy and Chase Daniel.

Bradford leads the nation with 38 touchdown passes, one more than Johnson, two more than Harrell and three more than Houston's Case Keenum.

Bradford has thrown for 3,406 yards, less than Harrell's 4,077, Keenum's 3,794, Daniel's 3,592 and the 3,424 yards thrown for by Max Hall of Brigham Young.

Consider what the national statistics would look like, however, if Bradford hadn't missed what amounts to a full game. Bob Stoops has pulled his quarterback for a total of 90 offensive snaps and nearly 55 minutes of possession time, while OU has nursed big leads.

In defense of the defense: The national ranking of OU's defense is subpar to say the least; the Sooners are 93rd against the pass, 55th in total defense and 57th in scoring defense. Perhaps, however, those numbers are skewed by the remarkable offenses OU has had to defend in the Big 12.

Heading into the past weekend, the Sooners had the best defense, statistically, in the league. OU was third, behind Texas and Texas Tech against the run, and third, behind Colorado and Texas A&M, against the pass.

The Sooners had the second-most interceptions in the conference — their 13 trailed Tech's 16 — and was tied with Texas for the most sacks with 34.

In addition, OU's opponents had the fewest first downs and the worst percentage of third-down conversions.

Tidbits:

-The defense is bad, Guillermo, period.
-Stoops' nursing leads will cost Bradford the heisman. These days nice guys finish last.
-Chase Daniel is a booger eater. Youtube it and see for yourself. Sick.

That is all, carry on.

Our Defense is not up to our normal standards, but, going against the best offenses in the country will make any Defense look Subpar. We still need to get up to speed for Big XII Offenses. We can all speculate both ways, but no one will know what we really have until Big XII teams start meeting other conferences in the Bowls.
