Offense: A+



The offensive line punished the Red Raiders for not crowding the line with an extra defensive back. OU averaged 5.4 yards per rushing play and gained 299 yards on the ground. DeMarco Murray and Chris Brown had 233 yards and five TDs. Sam Bradford went 14-of-19 for 304 yards and four TDs. Jermaine Gresham was a big target early, and four receivers caught TDs. Only a failed fourth-and-goal plunge from the 1-yard line in the final minutes by backups kept OU from scoring 70.

Defense: A+



Tech's first six possessions: punt, punt, punt, downs, downs, TD, interception. The Raiders converted just 1-of-13 first downs as Travis Lewis (13 tackles), Austin Box (9), Brian Jackson, Gerald McCoy, Nic Harris, Dominique Franks and Keenan Clayton repeatedly turned in dominant plays. OU already led the nation in tackles for loss and collected 10 1/2. Biggest of all were two turnovers a Lewis INT and a Clayton fumble recovery that set up short-field TDs.

Special teams: B



No big runbacks. What's better than that? The Sooner kickoff coverage team had been strafed all year, but was solid, despite some curious kicks. Tech's longest return was 29 yards, although with short kicks into the wind, that routinely led to good field position. Jimmy Stevens missed another PAT (his fifth), but hit a 33-yard field goal,
