This weekend's Bedlam game is the ninth in series history in which both the Cowboys and Sooners are ranked in the Associated Press poll. Here's a look at the other eight games.

Oct. 30, 2004
No. 2 Oklahoma 38, No. 20 Oklahoma State 35
at Stillwater
ESPN's GameDay is there and Bedlam lives up to the hype. OU's Adrian Peterson has a huge day, but OSU quarterback Donovan Woods leads a fourth-quarter comeback. The rally falls short when Jason Ricks' 49-yard field goal in the final seconds barely misses.
NOV. 1, 2003
No. 1 Oklahoma 52, No. 14 Oklahoma State 9
at Norman
"The two teams that will play this Saturday, one may be the best team in college football and the other one is a darned good football team. This game will be played to determine which one is which." Les Miles' words stoke Bob Stoops and the Sooners.
NOV. 5, 1988
No. 8 Oklahoma 31, No. 12 Oklahoma State 28
at Stillwater
OSU's Barry Sanders runs wild on his way to a Heisman. OU's Mike Gaddis provides a counter punch. But in the end, it's a dropped touchdown pass by OSU's Brent Parker in the final minute that defines this Bedlam game.
NOV. 7, 1987
No. 1 Oklahoma 29, No. 12 Oklahoma State 10
at Norman
OSU is within six on a Barry Sanders fourth-quarter touchdown. But the Sooners pull away for a painful win: Starting quarterback Jamelle Holieway is lost for the season with a knee injury. Charles Thompson moves into the lineup and takes OU to the national title game.
NOV. 30, 1985
No. 3 Oklahoma 13, No. 17 Oklahoma State 0
at Stillwater
"These were the worst conditions I've ever seen a football game played in." Plenty agree with OU coach Barry Switzer as his team wins a game dubbed the Ice Bowl. Sleet pelts players and fans in an ESPN-televised night game. OU stays on track for a national title.
NOV. 24, 1984
No. 2 Oklahoma 24, No. 3 Oklahoma State 14
at Norman
Sooner fans tear down the goalposts. The game is tied at 14 in the second half before OU pulls away to win the Big Eight title and clinch an Orange Bowl berth. OSU, doomed by two second-half turnovers, goes to the Gator Bowl.
NOV. 1, 1975
No. 2 Oklahoma 27, No. 19 Oklahoma State 7
at Stillwater
OU marches toward a national title by shutting down the Big Eight's No. 2 rusher, Terry Miller. OSU turnovers help OU build a 20-0 lead early in the third quarter. Steve Davis and Joe Washington have TDs, but Horace Ivory is the leading rusher.
DEC. 2, 1972
No. 3 Oklahoma 38, No. 20 Oklahoma State 15
at Norman
No contest. OU races to a 24-0 halftime lead. Fleet-footed freshman Joe Washington joins teammate Leon Crosswhite in rushing for more than 100 yards. Chuck Fairbanks' Sooners are Big Eight champs and head to a Sugar Bowl date with Penn State.

The "Bedlam" Series is the most lopsided in college football. 78-16-7 in favor of the Sooners.

Hey, just curious, what is the OU/Texas series record?

wonder why they didn't include the fact that UO had to forfiet the 1972 game due to NCAA violations. Or that the refs actually won the 1988 game for UO. Additionally the 2005 game should still be listed as a forfiet due to violations...but due to the crybaby nature of stoops and castiglione the NCAA changed their mind.
by the way LRTsooner...its 17-78-7...not 16

So, basically OSU has never beaten OU when they are both ranked for Bedlam.... That is not a good trend, but hopefully it gets broken this Saturday!

As soon as OSU and its fan base stop making beating the hated Sooners there #1 priority maybe they will be able to beat Texas Tech and Texas and move on to something better.

Bilbo...
and what game did OSU beat UO because of a call that even the announcers of the game agreed was a horrible call that you guys bring up against us?
I'm not crying about anything...facts are facts. 1972 OU had to forfiet games because of NCAA violations. Same goes for 2005...yet due to an amazing ammount of crying by stoops and joe the NCAA went back on their original judgment. this isn't complaining, it is simply pointing out that the article wasn't accurate.
if you want to say that what I say about 1988 is crying then thats fine...but any man who actually saw that game would agree that the personal foul call made in the last minutes of the game was absurd. I'm certainly not an OU fan, but I can agree that the call the PAC-10 officials made against yall up in oregon was horrible.

Geez guys, lighten up! I was there in'66 when a Phil Cutcheon team beat a good, young OU team led by Bobby Warmack, frosh Steve Owens and a great tight end whose name escapes me(good NFL) and Cutcheon ( a good old boy cowboy type dude) beat McKenzie and/or Gomer Jones 2 years in a row. Why in the world did they fire that guy?

have that,
OSU has had more ncaa violation than ou. jimmie johnson almost got the school shut down for his violations. and you are just wrong on your facts. but i guess i can't really expect an osu loser to read the ncaa record book. reading is not really an strong suit at osu, just raping sheep and other farm animals.

Stoolwater State fans still living their perpetual dream. Maybe Stoolwater State could play Jenks High at Christmas? Possible "WIN" for the hapless pokes.

I just hope the Sooners will be able to hear above the 'roar' of the 30,000 OSU fans. Pretty intimidating.

Boone Pickens is wasting his money trying to buy a Big 12 championship. He should try to use his money to get OSU out of the Big 12 and into another conference. As long as OU and Texas are in the way they aren't likely to finish any better than third in the South division.

I'm going to make this easy enough that even you can understand...
NCAA Violations:
OU:
July 11, 2007 - Football
May 25, 2006 - Basketball & Gymnastics
December 19, 1988 - Football
November 11, 1980 - Football & Track
September 20, 1973 - Football & Basketball
January 11, 1960 - Football
January 11, 1956 - Football
OSU:
November 4, 1992 - Wrestling
January 6, 1989 - Football & Wrestling
January 18, 1980 - Football
January 19, 1978 - Football
that is 7 for OU and 4 for OSU...and just in case you aren't very good at math, 7 is more than 4.
and as for Jimmy Johnson almost getting the school shut down...Jimmy Johnson didn't come to OSU till 1979, and the violations that happend in 1980 & 1978 are from infractions that happened in 1974, 1975, and 1976...years before he even came to the program.
..you are just wrong on your facts. but i guess i can't really expect an OU loser to read the ncaa record book. reading is not really an strong suit for most OU fans...since the vast majority like yourself live in trailer parks, take pride in your mullet, and beat your wife & kids.
Stay classy you ignorant fool.
