OU: Know The Foe

Looking back: Missouri dropped a 40-37 decision to archrival Kansas Saturday at Arrowhead Stadium when Todd Reesing connected with Dylan Meier on a 26-yard touchdown pass with 27 seconds remaining. Jeff Wolfert tried to send the game into overtime with a last-second field goal, but his 54-yard attempt was blocked and the Tigers dropped to 9-3 overall and 5-3 in the Big 12 Conference.

About the offense: Oklahoma will be defending many of the same weapons that got Missouri into last year's Big 12 title game. Quarterback Chase Daniel totaled 391 yards and threw four touchdown passes against KU. Wide receiver Jeremy Maclin caught nine passes for 123 yards. Tight end Chase Coffman scored a pair of touchdowns.

About the defense: The only teams in the NCAA Bowl Subdivision that defend the pass worse than the Tigers are Louisiana Tech, Central Michigan and Nevada. That's it. The Jayhawks' Todd Reesing strafed Mizzou for 375 yards and four TDs Saturday. Also, Kansas was 12-of-19 on third down and 2-of-2 on fourth.

About special teams: Seems OU isn't the only team with kickoff coverage issues. Saturday at Arrowhead, Kansas wide receiver Dezmon Briscoe returned seven kicks for 195 yards in his first attempt at doing so. Wolfert is 17-of-22 on field goals. Maclin is a lethal return man on kickoffs and punts.
