Future tense: With quarterback Sam Bradford's future beyond 2009 an unknown and neither redshirt freshman Landry Jones or newcomer Drew Allen having any game experience, Bob Stoops said recruiting a quarterback in the 2010 class is a priority.

"It's always a priority," he said. "We're gonna recruit another quarterback for sure the following year. You ideally want to have four. Most everyone does. We've gotten caught, for different reasons, where we've been operating with three. But ideally, everyone operates with four."

The Sooners currently appear to be in good with Connor Wood of Houston Second Baptist. According to Rivals.com, Wood lists Georgia, Missouri, LSU, Texas and Texas A&M among his favorites, along with OU, Stanford and TCU — the last three of which, the Web site reports, have offered scholarships.

Wort's game: Linebacker Tom Wort of New Braunfels, Texas, grew up in England playing soccer.

"There's always some great stories out there, but Tom definitely is one," Stoops said. "I'm gonna roll a (soccer) ball out there when we get to practice and see what he can do with it."

Said defensive coordinator Brent Venables, "When they sent us his highlight tape as a junior, you're like, 'Holy cow.' . . . When he hits people, they go the other way."

Miller time: One dark horse in this class could be running back Jonathon Miller. It would seem the depth chart is too full, but offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson suggests otherwise.

"For a fast guy, he's got some size," Wilson said. "Last year's two guys were a little bit bigger mode with Justin (Johnson) and Jermie Calhoun. He's a little bit more of a faster guy, very explosive.
