STILLWATER — Oklahoma State sophomore wide receiver Damian Davis was arrested early Saturday on charges of being younger than 21 in a bar and having a false ID.

Stillwater police arrested the 18-year-old Davis at Dirty's Tavern. He was charged with being younger than 21 in a liquor bar, possessing a false ID, presenting a false ID to a police officer with intent of deceiving that officer, and obstructing a police officer during an investigation.

According to the police report, Sgt. Paul Bostick of the Stillwater Police Department's Special Projects Unit saw Davis enter Dirty's Tavern, a bar posted as open to people 21 and older. Davis presented a Georgia driver's license — found to belong to OSU football player Maurice Raequell Gray — showing he was 21, according to police.

According to the report, a member of the door staff at Dirty's did not think the driver's license was real and asked Bostick to verify it. Davis told Bostick he was Maurice Gray and that he was 21, but when asked for his middle name and birth place, he said he was too drunk to remember, according to the report.

OSU coach Mike Gundy is on vacation until the middle of July and unavailable for comment, according to associate athletic director for media relations Kevin Klintworth.

Davis played in nine games last year and caught two passes for 47 yards.

BRILLIANT!!! Does it get any dumber than being a major college athlete and trying to 'sneak' into a bar.
