Travel becomes less traumatic for the Cowboys.

SEATTLE — By the midway mark of the 2007 season, Mike Gundy-coached Oklahoma State football teams were 4-11 in games played away from Stillwater.

Travel no longer seems to be quite so traumatic for the Cowboys. With a 39-13 triumph over Washington State, played before a pro-Cougar crowd of 50,830 at Qwest Field, OSU has prevailed in four of its last five contests away from home.

"I knew this would be a true road test for us," Gundy said. "Good team chemistry helps you play on the road."

The Cowboys now prepare for four consecutive home dates, starting with this Saturday's meeting with Houston (6 p.m., Boone Pickens Stadium).

Bullnose- there was a lot of goofy play calling in that game. It took what, 11 minutes to throw a real pass? Then again, if Dez can keep pulling in the circus catches we may have a shot in the Big XXII this year. I'm glad we got the vic, no matter how ugly, haha

All week long Gundy and his staff were saying they didn't know what WSU was going to do with their new staff.

The playcalling wasn't good nor did it appear Gundy wanted to tip his hand too much either.

Once the oSu defense showed some stopping power, the game plan continued on it's conservative course. No need to go all Jumbo just yet. Too many players needed to get the fundamentals down rather than trying to make earth-shattering plays. It showed on offense and defense.

In the coming weeks, Gundy's playcalling and agressiveness should become more apparent as the team settles into itself.

What I liked was the maturity Gundy showed with field position -- not neededing the homerun on each and every down.

It WILL continue to get better.

GO POKES!!

I hope you're right, that it was not using everything in the kitchen, when a cheap pot will suffice. That kind of production in the red zone won't cut it when the big boys come around.
Go Pokes
