Offense: B

Considering the quality of the opposition — a Texas defense ranked No. 2 nationally in run defense — Cowboy running back Kendall Hunter had a sensational afternoon. He ran for 161 yards on 18 carries, and he scored on a 23-yard dash. In seven previous games, the Cowboy offensive line allowed only five sacks. On Saturday, Texas recorded five sacks. OSU needed a big game from wide receiver Dez Bryant, but he managed only 74 yards on six catches. Tight end Brandon Pettigrew had his most productive outing of the season — eight receptions for 83 yards. Zac Robinson passed for 199 yards and one TD (a 9-yarder to Bo Bowling). Robinson was not intercepted. OSU was 5-of-12 on third-down conversions and finished with 416 total yards. Texas had allowed only 323 yards per game.

Defense: B

The Cowboys did force Texas quarterback Colt McCoy into two second-half turnovers (one fumble, one interception), but otherwise McCoy was the best player on the field. He finished 38-of-45 passing for 391 yards and two TDs. OSU's run defense was strong. Texas rushed for only 113 yards, averaging 3.5 per attempt. The longest Longhorn run went for 17 yards, and that was on a reverse by wide receiver Jordan Shipley. OSU committed a costly third-quarter penalty. A Perrish Cox interception was erased when safety-linebacker Andre Sexton was flagged for a late hit on McCoy. Two plays later, Texas took a 28-14 lead on McCoy's 3-yard run.

Special teams: A

Texas coach Mack Brown had expressed concern that the Cowboys could hurt the Longhorns with big returns, and the Cowboys did exactly that. In the first quarter, freshman Victor Johnson broke a 52-yard kickoff return. Late in the first half, Perrish Cox also popped a 52-yard kickoff return. OSU capitalized by scoring a touchdown and trailed only 21-14 at halftime. In the fourth period, OSU sophomore Dan Bailey booted a 39-yard field goal the longest of his career. Texas averaged only 17.5 yards on its four kickoff returns.

Ok State is no longer on the verge of being a perennial national power, they have become one, better get used to it and support them. Tulsa as well, it's great that OK has three teams in the Top 25, unbelievable really when you think about it!
