OSU Notebook

Robinson's numbers:
During eighth-ranked Oklahoma State's 59-17 victory over Iowa State, Zac Robinson passed for 395 yards and five touchdowns. For the season, Robinson has thrown for 2,082 yards. In 11 starts last season, he passed for 2,824 yards.
Only three other Cowboy quarterbacks — Mike Gundy in 1987, 1988 and 1989; Josh Fields in 2002 and 2003, and Bobby Reid in 2006 — reached the 2,000 mark in passing yards.
OSU is assured of playing at least four more games (three regular-season contests and a bowl). If Robinson sustains his average of 231.3 passing yards per game, he would finish with a 13-game total of 3,007 yards. It would be only the second 3,000-yard performance in school history.
The single-season school record of 3,145 passing yards was set by Fields during the 13-game 2002 season.
Angry Gundy:
During the second period of the Iowa State game, Gundy had a heated exchange with referee Cooper Castleberry after Cowboy linebacker Orie Lemon was flagged for a personal-foul infraction. Castleberry's crew called a helmet-to-helmet violation against Lemon for a hit on Iowa State quarterback Austen Arnaud. Television replays showed that it was Lemon's arm that made contact with the sliding Arnaud's helmet.
"I can't say anything about officiating because my wife spends too much money at the mall and I can't take the Mike Leach $10,000 fine," Gundy said. "After (Castleberry) explained it to me, he was right."
Leach, the Texas Tech coach, was fined $10,000 by the Big 12 last year for expressing his displeasure with officiating.
Dynamic duo:
Against Iowa State, Dez Bryant had 171 receiving yards, pushing him beyond the 1,000-yard mark for the season. He has 1,054 receiving yards. Kendall Hunter, who had 104 yards against the Cyclones, has 1,220 rushing yards.
It is the fifth time in school history that OSU has had both a 1,000-yard rusher and receiver. In three games this season, both Bryant and Hunter have reached the 100-yard mark.
Milestones:
For the first time since the Big 12's inaugural season in 1996, the Cowboys have a 4-1 league record.
The Cowboys have reached the 50-point mark in five games this season. That ties the school record set in 1988.
