Cowboys accept Holiday invite
By BILL HAISTEN World Sports Writer

During Oklahoma State's Sunday night football banquet in Stillwater, Cowboy coach Mike Gundy announced to his players that they had been invited to play in the Dec. 30 Holiday Bowl in San Diego, and that their opponent would be No. 15 Oregon.
"There was a loud roar," Gundy said. "We're all excited about coming out to San Diego."
Both teams are 9-3. In the Top 25 this week, OSU climbed one position to No. 13.
OSU makes its third straight bowl and sixth in seven years.
In their only previous Holiday Bowl, the Cowboys capped Barry Sanders' 1988 Heisman Trophy season with a 62-14 win over Wyoming. Gundy passed for 315 yards and two touchdowns.
Gundy will become the only man to have been a Holiday Bowl participant both as a player and a head coach.

Congratulations to Coach Gundy, all the players and coaches. You guys did great. They picked you to be 7-5 or at best 8-4.
Now get ready and go cook the Ducks.

Hey zach, didn't you just love it when ESPN put up that big ol' graphic about how well ou has done in their last 5 BCS bowl games?
I know, I know. At least ou has been to BCS bowls. Yada, yada, yada.

Really wish OU fans would stay off pages that have nothing to do with them. Insecure little boys that gotta try to act big.
We'll be out in San Diego celebrating a win while you'll be crying about some new excuse as to why you lost another bcs game.

What really matters is the Poll on November 30 the day after we beat OU and have 11-1 record. Hope Big Game Bob and the boys enjoy the Insight Bowl this year.
Stoolwater State fans keeping the losing tradition alive and well, as the pinnacle of college football achievement...Gumby's Goobers finish just ahead of Baylor and A&M for ANOTHER 4TH PLACE FINISH. Wow...what will the Ducks do to stop this freight train of a team?

Wow Kryptonite, did you really go through all that effort to pull a month and a half-old quote on an internet newspaper board? What an utterly sad existence. But what can anyone expect from such an intelligent individual that practices amazingly original quips such as Stoolwater and Gumby?
