Reunion game: First-year Oklahoma State assistant Butch Pierre worked for first-year Arkansas State head coach John Brady at LSU.

OSU guard James Anderson scored 25 points against a Brady-coached LSU team last season and scored 16 against Brady's new team Monday night.

Anderson played high school ball in Junction City, Ark., which is located on the Arkansas-Louisiana border. Brady was asked if he attempted to recruit Anderson while at LSU, but wanted no part of the question. He said to go ask Pierre.

Getting defensive: Arkansas State's 53 points against OSU were the fewest scored by a Cowboy opponent this season. The previous low was 57 by Texas-San Antonio in a season opener.

Insider trading: Martavius Adams spent his freshman season at OSU and transferred to Arkansas State. He is sitting out this season due to NCAA transfer rules.

OSU point guard Byron Eaton, asked last week if he was concerned Adams gave his new team inside info about the Cowboys, said, "He doesn't know any of these plays. He left before he was able to get any of this."

Record watch: Anderson became the 18th player in OSU history to make at least 100 3-pointers. Terrel Harris became the 32nd player in school history to score 1,000 career points.

Eaton moved past Darwyn Alexander for fifth place on the career assists list. Eaton also tied former Oklahoma guard Hollis Price for fifth place on the Big 12 career steals list.

New home: Ibrahima Thomas, who left OSU after starting the first seven games this season, has decided to transfer to Cincinnati, according to published reports.

He's back: ESPN analyst and former OSU point guard Doug Gottlieb (with his pregnant wife and two children in tow) was in attendance.
