Iowa State duo earns Big 12 honors

DES MOINES, Iowa — Iowa State forward Craig Brackins is the Big 12's Player of the Week and teammate Marquis Gilstrap is the league's rookie of the week.

Brackins averaged 25 points and 11 rebounds in wins over Drake and Mississippi Valley State. It's the fourth time Brackins has been named the league's player of the week.

Gilstrap averaged 14 points and seven rebounds last week, scoring a career-high 21 points against Mississippi Valley State. By Associated Press
