Not over the hill: For years, it has been a fixture on the local running calendar. On Saturday, the Tulsa Zoo Run celebrates its 40th anniversary.

The 10k, 5k and 1-mile in and around the Tulsa Zoo at Mohawk Park is the sixth-largest run in the state of Oklahoma.

The fun run starts at 8:15 a.m. with the 5k going off at 8:45 a.m. and the 10k starting at 9 a.m. Online registration is available through Thursday at tulsaworld.com/tulsazoo .

In-person registration is available at the New Balance Tulsa store at Utica Square from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Friday or at the zoo from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday. Raceday registration starts at 7 a.m. Saturday in front of the zoo.

Running

The 40th annual Tulsa Zoo Run: A 10k, 5k and 1-mile fun run, is Saturday at the Tulsa Zoo. Entry information available at tulsaworld.com/tulsazoo .

The F3 Sprint Triathlon: Is Sunday at the Claremore Super Recreation Center. Entry information available at tulsaworld.com/fleetfeet .

The Mud, Sweet and Tears Sprint Adventure Race: Is 8 a.m. Sunday at the Westside YMCA. There will be 6-10 miles of trail & River Trail running/trekking, 15-20 miles of trail and River Trail biking, 1-3 miles of river canoeing.

Teams will consist of 2person Coed, All Male, or All Female. Expected race length should be 3-5 hours. Entry fees are $120 per two-person teams. Call 261-2112.

The River Rush: A 5k and 1k fun run, is Oct. 10 at 31st and Riverside. Entry information available at tulsaworld.com/riverparks .

Tennis

The North Tulsa Tennis Association: Presents the Lacy Slam IV, scheduled for Friday through Sunday at the LaFortune Park Tennis Center. For more, call 496-6230.
