Basketball

Beasley involved in new photo flap: Michael Beasley has been thrown into another photo flap. Seven pictures of the Miami Heat forward asleep on a boat have been posted on TMZ.com, including one with several beer bottles and cans on a nearby table. The 20-year-old Beasley said he does not drink, and the ship's captain released a statement saying the player did not "consume or even touch" alcohol on the trip.

Golf

Cowgirls in 11th at Landfall Tradition: Oklahoma State's women's team posted a 301 during the second round at the Landfall Tradition to move into a tie for 11th place at the Country Club of Landfall. OSU stands at 606 and is tied with Pepperdine, Michigan State and Georgia. OSU sophomore Caroline Hedwall moved up 14 spots in the standings with a 72 and is tied for 11th at 146.

Hockey

NHL icon Bill Chadwick dies at 94: Bill "The Big Whistle" Chadwick, the first U.S.-born official in NHL history and a broadcaster for the New York Rangers, died Saturday. He was 94. For 16 seasons, from 1939 to 1955, and despite being blind in one eye, Chadwick was one of the best officials in the NHL. He invented and perfected the system of hand signals to signify penalties.

Soccer

ORU men lose in OT: Nate Ohmer scored a pair of goals, including the game-winner in overtime, as IUPUI rallied for a 2-1 win over Oral Roberts in a Summit League match at Kuntz Stadium in Indianaplois, Ind. Sterling Copeland scored for the Golden Eagles
(6-6-2 overall, 2-2-1 Summit).

Tennis

TU men in doubles semifinals: Tulsa sophomore Ashley Watling and senior Philip Stephens advanced to the semifinals in Main Draw doubles with a quarterfinal win at the Men's Central Region Championships at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center. The third-seeded TU tandem defeated Anton Bobytskyi and Eric West of Oklahoma State and will play Nebraska's Christopher Aumueller and Benedikt Lindheim in the semifinals.

Sooners reach finals: Players from the University of Oklahoma will play in both the singles and doubles final Sunday, as they host the Central Region Women's Championships in Norman. Junior Ana-Maria Constantinescu won in both the singles quarterfinals and semifinals Saturday to advance to the Main Draw finals. Constantinescu also won in Main Draw doubles with freshman partner Teona Tsertsvadze in the semifinals to move on to the doubles final.

OU's Beleleu in quarterfinals: Oklahoma junior Ionut Beleleu advanced to the quarterfinals of the Men's Regional Championships main draw at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center. Beleleu defeated Dino Bilankov of Minnesota and Matt Hogan of Arkansas.

Volleyball

Nebraska ends OU winning streak: Oklahoma dropped a 3-1 decision to fifth-ranked Nebraska at the NU Coliseum. The Sooners (13-7, 6-5 Big 12) trailed 2-0 after the intermission and fought back from six down to win the third set before falling in the fourth to the Cornhuskers (15-5, 8-3 Big 12). Sophomore Suzy Boulavsky led OU with 19 kills, adding seven digs and two block assists. Sarah Freudenrich, a junior from Broken Arrow, added six kills and five block assists.
