Oklahoma State quarterback Zac Robinson's participation was limited during the Monday practice session at Boone Pickens Stadium.

With 1:38 left in last week's 24-17 victory over Texas Tech, Robinson was blasted in a violent helmet-to-helmet collision with Red Raider cornerback Jamar Wall. The immediate concern was that Robinson might have sustained a concussion. He was checked by doctors on Sunday and again on Monday.

On Sunday, coach Mike Gundy said he expects Robinson to play in Thursday's 6:30 p.m., ESPN-televised Big 12 home game with Colorado. Whether Robinson makes his 35th career start probably will be determined following the Wednesday practice.

There may be an issue with Robinson's throwing shoulder. On Sunday, he received treatment on the shoulder. It appears to be a soreness issue and not an injury issue. If it had been determined that Robinson's shoulder was injured, he probably would not have practiced on Monday or be preparing for the Colorado contest.

Cox honored: Continuing his bid for All-Big 12 and All-American distinction, OSU cornerback Perrish Cox was named the Big 12 defensive player of the week. Against Texas Tech, the senior from Waco, Texas, had two interceptions and broke up three passes.

With a nine-game total of 19, Cox leads the nation in passes defended (four interceptions, 15 break-ups).

Cox is a semifinalist for the Thorpe Award, given annually to the top defensive back in college football.

Colorado defense. While Colorado comes to Stillwater with records of 3-7 overall and 2-4 in the Big 12, the Buffaloes' defense isn't bad. In third-down conversion defense, OSU is 23rd nationally, allowing opponents to convert at a rate of 34.3 percent. Colorado is 24th at 34.5 percent.

Would like to see him on a few offensive downs. Maybe as a decoy, maybe as a target? The guy can rap it up and catch the ball!

Great game PCox !!! Our defense is so much improved. I wondered why Tech kept throwing it into Cox's area ?

Big John, I was wondering why they kept throwing it his way too. Actually, I was glad they did. Every time he was defending, I knew we were going to be in great shape and he was going to have another highlight.

The 2 INTs were great but the breakup he made in the endzone was ridiculous. He hung in the air forever! Great job, Perrish. All-American honors are right down the road!

Lets not get to far ahead of ourselves. Beat Colorado and then take the week end off.
