OSU Notebook: All black
By MATT BAKER World Sports Writer

All black: Oklahoma State wore all-black uniforms Thursday for the first time since 1994. The black Nike jerseys had numbers in white and "COWBOYS" written in orange across the front. The team's white helmets had the OSU logo written in black.
Cox's TD:
Perrish Cox's 67-yard punt return for a touchdown in the first quarter was his first special-teams score of the season.
Cox has six special-teams touchdowns, but only two have come on punt returns. Cox, the Big 12's all-time leader in kick return yards, also scored on a punt return against Sam Houston State in 2007. Dez Bryant has OSU's only other punt return for a touchdown this season — an 82-yarder against Houston.
Watching Perrish:
Representatives from the Jim Thorpe Association were at Boone Pickens Stadium on Thursday. That association presents the Jim Thorpe Award for the nation's top defensive back. OSU's Cox is one of 12 semifinalists for the award.
Sack party:
After stressing the importance of pressuring the quarterback all season, OSU's defense picked up three sacks in the first quarter and had four in the game. Before Thursday, the Cowboys had recorded three or more sacks in a game only three times all season — against Texas A&M, Grambling State and Iowa State.
Shuffling starters:
With Zac Robinson on the sidelines, OSU started junior Alex Cate at quarterback. Cate became the 19th different player to start on offense for the Cowboys this year. Only Noah Franklin, Andrew Lewis and Russell Okung have started every game for the Cowboys offense.
OSU used only 14 different offensive starters last season, and each of the five offensive linemen started all 13 games. Right tackle Brady Bond missed his third consecutive game Thursday because of an ankle injury. Senior Andrew Mitchell started in his place.
Senior night:
Thursday was the last home game of the season, and OSU honored its 22 seniors with a pregame ceremony. Robinson received the loudest ovation. The Cowboy senior class will graduate with one of the most successful four-year runs in school history, including four bowl games.
Opponents' penalties:
OSU's last two opponents have been the most penalized teams in the country. Texas Tech's 97 penalties are worst in the country, and Colorado is second-worst with 93, before Thursday.
The Buffaloes had two roughing-the-passer penalties in the first half. They finished with seven penalties for 80 yards.
Blocked!:
Colorado blocked OSU kicker Dan Bailey's 53-yard field goal attempt near the end of the first half. It was the first time the Cowboys have had a field goal blocked since Texas' Michael Huff did it in 2005.
Thursday games:
OSU's game against Colorado was the Cowboys' first Thursday game since playing at Florida Atlantic on Sept. 8, 2005.
It was the Cowboys' first home Thursday night game since OSU hosted Nebraska on Aug. 31, 1995.

Forget the black uniforms and the black clothing in the stands. We are ORANGE and proud of it! Bad things happen in black.

Monochrome jerseys suck. The black jerseys we had before looked much better. Don't let Nike design those things the whte numbers and esp the goofy side panels do not look good. Go orange numbers with white outline and it'd look much better. Use white pants w/ those. Oregon State's black tops look really good.

Something tells me that this was going to be the game that the Athletic Department wanted to "black out."
But thanks to some UT fan posing as an OSU fan, we got a crappy "facebook" black out from half of the students at the UT game instead.
Moral of the story: Screw blackouts. Orange Power.

Defenately needed more orange in the black uniforms

I'm sorry folks, but the all black and all orange uniforms are ugly. The only other team that rivals them is the TU yellow uniforms.
