Reynolds will not play in Bedlam game
Ryan Reynolds
By GUERIN EMIG World Sports Writer

NORMAN — Oklahoma middle linebacker Ryan Reynolds will miss this weekend's Bedlam matchup against Oklahoma State with a hamstring injury suffered in Saturday's 41-13 loss at Texas Tech.
Reynolds' absence deprives the Sooners of their second-leading tackler, and their seventh starter. Also injured: quarterback Sam Bradford, tight end Jermaine Gresham, defensive end Auston English and offensive linemen Brody Eldridge, Jarvis Jones and Ben Habern. Reynolds is the third captain to go down, joining Bradford and Eldridge.
He left Saturday's game early in the third quarter and did not return. As trainers worked on his hamstring, Austin Box finished up at middle linebacker. He made three tackles in a performance defensive coordinator/linebackers coach Brent Venables called "solid" on Sunday.
Box, who also replaced weakside linebacker Travis Lewis briefly after Lewis struggled during Texas Tech's second series, will likely start in Reynolds' place Saturday. He started four games for the injured Reynolds last year. His fourth was OU's 61-41 victory at OSU, a game he didn't finish because of a knee injury.
Habern, OU's center, broke his leg in the second quarter of the Tech loss. He was replaced by walk-on Brian Lepak. Offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson said Sunday that Lepak, the former Claremore Zebra who began his college career at Colorado State, would likely start against OSU.
Stoops said during his weekly television show that Habern had surgery following Saturday's game and will be sidelined for up to four months.

I can't believe OSU would take advantage of a beaten up OU team. The real tragedy of this season if it hurts our diversity initiatives.

Yes! All these years of instate collegiate relations down the drain just because OSU wants to run up the score on a weaker team. Who would do such a thing?

Way to go Carlos. Anyway, OSU is going into a hornets nest. Texas Tech knocked down the nest and the mad swarming Sooners will do anything to hurt the OSU QB mainly, but anyone on the team is fair game. Gundy and team better realize this.

Carlos, the BCS is all about running the score up. Score a lot of points on a big name team, get an extra bump up to a better bowl game.
asdxrwh, Same can be said for Stoops. Better watch who gets hurt. Swarming? Not in the same direction. That's called a fly-by.

But seriously...this could be OSU's time to hang half a hundred on them...lord knows the Sooners have done it to them many, many times.

There's an interesting phenomenon that I've seen hold true for the ten years or so that I've been watching college football: When you play poorly you have more injuries. It's almost directly proportional that (as a team) the worse you play, the more you're injured. I'm just sayin' . . .

with so many injuries, think big game bob needs re-evaluate training procedures
could be a ploy for many hardship cases
the ncaa should investigate

soonerman37, I'm surprised you haven't changed your name yet. I think most other OU fans have alter egos on the TW when the season goes south.
How's the view from back there, anyway?

Just lose and look for next year's bandwagon route schedule. Tables have turned OwhU, don't think we won't kick you while you're down.

Man you would think this was an OSU article with all these OSU fans on here. I guess you can't help but kick us when we are down. With all this trash talk you better hope you win or its going to be fun for us on your articles. OU can ruin OSU's BCS chances. Who would have thought that.

This is what makes Bedlam so much fun. We finally get to return the favor while you can only sit on your hands. Consider that next season, maybe we can enjoy Bedlam's healthy competition together over a cold beer....probably not, but that's hopin'.
