Gundy: We expect Zac to start against OU
OSU's Zac Robinson is pictured with his family and Pistol Pete prior to the Colorado game at Boone Pickens Stadium, Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009. STEPHEN HOLMAN / Tulsa World

STILLWATER — Oklahoma State football coach Mike Gundy said he expects senior quarterback Zac Robinson to start a regular-season finale Saturday at Oklahoma.
Robinson sustained a shoulder bruise in the fourth quarter of a Nov. 14 victory over Texas Tech and did not play in a Nov. 19 home finale against Colorado.
Gundy said at his weekly press conference Monday that Robinson will have to work through some soreness, but the coach said he expects the quarterback to be fine.
Gundy spoke similarly in a media teleconference one day after the Texas Tech game, saying that he expected Robinson to start against Colorado. "We're anticipating him being able to play this week," the coach said.
Instead, Alex Cate got his first career start against Colorado and was replaced in the second half by Brandon Weeden.
Asked Monday about Robinson's status, co-offensive coordinator Gunter Brewer said, "If he's able to go, we are going to go with him. We'll find out this week. He has been cleared to practice, so we'll see what we get out of him. I'm sure he'll progress as the week goes on and we will go from there."
Robinson participated in a Monday practice and was not available for post-practice interviews because he had to take an exam, according to an OSU official.
Guard Noah Franklin said he doesn't know about Robinson's physical condition. "But just knowing Zac as long as I have, his attitude towards how much he wants to be on the field and how much he wants to help, I'm sure if there is any possible way he can get on the field, he is going to be on it."

At this point, we don't even need Zac to mop the floor with OU.

Not so fast my friend. OSU does need Zac. I'm sure he will play. OU has a chance to ruin OSU's BCS chances. Usually it's the other way around. Should be fun. Don't count out OU, Stoops home record is like 54-2.

Fair enough Choppa, but I gotta tell ya that watching OU's road performance lately would make me worried if I were a Sooner.

The Gooner pride was hurt by the Red Raiders. I think they are going to fold like a house of cards.

Yes, OU's pride was hurt but they play different at home. I gotta say that Toston is a great running back.

OSU definitely cannot play like they did against Colorado. We need to dominate the Sooners and take them out of the game early.

Take it slow Zac. Don't hurt yourself. We would love to see you back for Bedlam but not if it sends you to surgery.

Oh yes, because we all know TW didn't over do it on the coverage when Bradford got hurt. (/sarcasm off)

It's good to hear that Zac feels well enough to practice
You can throw records, previous games etc. out.
The team that's ready and wants to win most will win this game.

Once you graduate college, leave it alone. There's no reason to continue to carry your college years with you for the rest of your lives. These guys are 18-22 years old. Grow up and get a life folks. Having baggage tied to the past is never good, whether it's high school, college, or anything else. Why not go to your old elementary school football games? That's how immature you guys act.

fld11,
I still go to my old little league team games and they KILL the competition. I bet my little league team could send yours home crying! The problem is I can't fit into the shirts anymore. :(

Beau, you do need Zac to keep it close in Norman. Surely you "GESTE" Beau, that you will mop the floor without him.
Look at OU's win streak at home, not to mention, their points per game at home. Yes we were horrible on the road, but Norman is "The House of Pain" and I welcome you to it!

As a long time alum of OSU, and an even longer time fan my very favorite team is the Oklahoma State University Cowboys.
My second favorite team is OU's opponent.
It's been an absolutely delightful football season.
I died a thousand deaths last Thursday evening, but last Saturday at Lubbock made up for it.

fld11,
I spent a bucket load of money and 4 good years at OSU. I'm not going to drop them like a bad outfit now just because I've graduated.

Unlike Stoops did to Bradford...if Zac is not ready to play he won't. The future and well being of the player is far more valuable, than winning or losing.

I agree with Pokes fan...He needs to put his future first, and Gundy will put his future first. It would be hard to set out Bedlam but it would be harder to go in and get hurt. I think the game will be a close one, but I hope the Pokes come out on top. It is our time to shine, if only for one year.

It's so funny. I've had straight up nice things to say to OSU fans about Zac and the program. Then here comes Pokes fan..."Unlike Stoops did to Bradford". Come on man, you are not in the locker room to know if Stoops made Bradford play. That is a false statement. It wasn't Stoops decision.
Let the games begin. It will be fun on Saturday. May the best team win. If OSU pulls it out I hope they get to go to the Fiesta Bowl. It is a fun town and the margeritas tasts so good when you are going to the "Fiesta". Only one win away.
