NORMAN – Oklahoma State's Zac Robinson, who missed last week's Colorado contest because of a right-shoulder bruise, has started at quarterback against Oklahoma.

On the second play of the game, Robinson scrambled for 11 yards. At the end of the play, he avoided a collision with Sooner defenders by sliding to the turf.

OSU's career leader in total offense, passing yards and touchdown passes, Robinson sustained the shoulder bruise against Texas Tech on Nov. 14. The bruise has resulted in stiffness and soreness, but Robinson's passing motion did not seemed altered during warm-ups.

Today's start is the 35th of Robinson's career.

Watch for the OU goons to go after him and try to knock him out of the game. Misery loves company...

Popeye:

Are the OU goons anything like the OSU goon who cheap-shotted Austin Box with an illegal block after the whistle last year? Just wondering!

Never, has a bedlam game been more important than this one!

Popeye: To which team? It certainly isn't the most important to the team that is accustomed to winning conference and national championships. Other than bragging rights, the only other things that OU has riding on this one is to finish above .500 and to keep a home winning streak going.

Zac and the offense are going to have to answer after the OU TD.

redbeard: What cheapshot are you referring to? I hope it wasn't the hit on Robinson. That was borderline. It was also flagged. The cheapshot on Box was neither borderline nor was it flagged.

Popeye: LOL. Both teams are bowl eligible.

Seriously, the difference in the first half is that one team has played good defense and the other team has played GREAT defense.

Yeah,I was talking about the shot on Robinson. It's kind of hard for me to judge the hit on Box you're talking about because I never saw it.

Aw man....OU first down and knocking on the door.It doesn't look good.

Nice drive to start the half by the Sooners. Its good to score. 3 and out for the Cowboys plus a wasted timeout. Great start.

Hi Popeye:

It was kind of lonesome here in the end zone by myself during the 4th quarter.

I can't remember any defensive performance that was any better than the one that we saw from the Crimson and Cream today. 109 yards total offense by OSU. Unbelievable!!

Good Luck Zac, to your future from here, you were amazing when you were at your healthiest and you will be missed. I enjoyed watching you play and my heart goes out to you and your family after such a struggle this year. Congradulations on your winning season and I hope you shine in your bowl game win.

Yes, Democrat, the Sooners were spectacular on defense today, though I feel there were a couple of pass interference calls missed in their favor.

Their home record -- what is it 65-2 now -- proves that they always perform well at home, and I congratulate them -- and their fans too, I guess. Harumph!

God's speed to all the graduating seniors at all the schools. May your lives be as rich as your years at college: Good Luck!

Zac,
You're my boy and all but if your shoulder prevented you from throwing anything more than shovelpasses all day, you probably should have swallowed your pride and let Weeden come in. Just sayin'.

Zac said that his shoulder felt fine. The OSU coaches made the right decision to go with experience. The score could have been far worse with a rookie throwing against the excellent, tight coverage by the Sooner secondary. Robinson did well to throw only 1 pick against that coverage. With a rookie, Venables would have been licking his chops and would have mixed it up more with his blitz package. He had to respect Robinson's experience and ability to make you pay for blitzing.

Thanks for the nice concession-post Popeye. Let's also include our best-wishes for Corey Wilson. His "walk" in pre-game was inspiring. God bless him.
