OU football: Sooners receive commitment fromTexas lineman

 Oklahoma received a verbal commitment on Tuesday from Adam Shead, an offensive lineman from Cedar Hill, Texas.

Shead is rated a four-star prospect by Rivals.com and a three-star prospect by Scout.com.

Rivals lists Shead's size as 6-foot-4 and 315 pounds, while Scout has him at 6-3, 290.

Shead is OU's eighth commitment for the 2010 class and, according to Rivals, the Sooners' fifth four-star prospect to pledge.

Verbal commitments are nonbinding. Prospects can't sign binding letters of intent until Feb. 3, 2010.

Grand Old Partier, you are the epitome of classlessness and hypocracy. Change your name and your picture. You are simply a disgrace to anything patriotic.

As far as the recruit goes, good job sooners. I find it odd that his weight varies so much between the two recruiting sites...
