Oklahoma State is Michael Bowie's final answer and college destination.

The Sand Springs High School offensive lineman gave a verbal commitment Friday to play for the Cowboys. Verbal commitments are nonbinding until national signing day on Feb. 4.

The Sandites senior gave a verbal commitment to Kansas State last summer, but changed his mind after Ron Prince was fired in November. Shortly after that, Bowie gave a commitment to Texas Tech. But Bowie made an official visit to OSU last weekend and liked what he saw from the Cowboys program.

But Bowie insists he will not change his mind. "I feel like Oklahoma State is the best place for me," Bowie told GoPokes.com. "I'm excited. If it was signing day (today), I'd be signing (with OSU)."

Bowie is listed as a three-star prospect by Rivals.com, and a two-star prospect by Scout.com. Bowie is the 16th player in OSU's 2009 recruiting class, and sixth from the state of Oklahoma.

He joins Union running back Jeremy Smith, Owasso offensive lineman Brandon Webb, Midwest City Carl Albert defensive back Daytawion Lowe, Ada linebacker Colton Richardson and Enid quarterback Clint Chelf as in-state commitments.
