OSU football: Coaches believe Okung will return

There still has been no official announcement from Oklahoma State's Russell Okung, but a university source said on Wednesday that "the coaches feel good" that Okung will not apply for early entry in the NFL draft.

The 6-foot-6, 305-pound Okung is a junior and eligible to enter the draft. Thursday is the deadline for underclassmen to declare their draft eligibility.

The OSU source said Okung is expected to make a formal announcement on Thursday.

Okung has made 34 consecutive starts at left tackle and apparently is the only Cowboy underclassman who is considering a jump to the draft. In each of the three seasons that Okung has been a starter, OSU has led the Big 12 in rushing.

While impressive to be offered a contract in the NFL or any other league I say complete your college education, a football career does not last forever money an fame can diminish but an education is something no one can take from you complete college.
