Filling the house: Saturday night's victory over Troy drew a Boone Pickens Stadium record crowd of 52,463. OSU's previous home-game attendance record was 51,416 for the Nov. 9, 1996 game against Oklahoma.

Injury report: Senior tight end Brandon Pettigrew was dressed in his game uniform, but did not play against the Trojans due to a sprained ankle. Before Saturday night, Pettigrew had started 36 consecutive games. It was the longest current consecutive start streak for the team.

Pettigrew wore a protective boot on the injured ankle from Sept. 18 until last Wednesday.

Redshirt freshman Wilson Youman replaced Pettigrew in the starting lineup. True freshman Jamal Mosley also got time at tight end in the game.

Pettigrew was not the only Cowboy player missing in action because of injury.

Senior defensive tackle Jeray Chatham sat out his second consecutive game with a nagging foot injury. Sophomore wide receiver Damian Davis played after sitting out the Sept. 13 Missouri State game with a bruised shoulder. Sophomore receiver Artrell Woods suited up, but did not play. Woods suffered a sprained knee three weeks ago against Houston.

Lacey now the leader: With Pettigrew sitting out, senior cornerback Jacob Lacey now has the longest consecutive start streak on the OSU team with 30.

Grand Dez: Dez Bryant's 26-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter pushed the OSU sophomore wide receiver over the 1,000-yard mark in his college career.

Bryant's three first-half touchdown receptions gave him six for the season, which matched his 2007 season total.

Bryant had 118 receiving yards in the first half. It marked the fourth 100-yard receiving performance. Those 100-yard efforts have come in his last eight games.

Another century mark: Sophomore tailback Kendall Hunter surpassed the 100-yard barrier early in the third quarter and finished with 169. It was Hunter's fourth consecutive 100-yard rushing performance and the 15th consecutive game the Cowboys had a running back go over the 100-yard mark.

The last time OSU did not have a runner with more than 100 yards was last season's 42-6 win over Florida Atlantic.

Long drives: The Cowboys put together a pair of time-consuming possessions to open each half.

OSU's opening touchdown drive to start the game ate 5:16 off the clock. To start the second half, the Cowboys marched 99 yards on 11 plays — all rushing attempts — and chewed 5:25 off the clock.

In the fourth quarter, OSU took 8:22 off the clock en route to a 19-yard field goal from Dan Bailey.

That possession was the longest scoring drive in terms of time elapsed this season.

New numbers: Two OSU players donned new jersey numbers Saturday night that will remain in effect for the remainder of the season. Junior wide receiver Bo Bowling now wears No. 8 and freshman defensive back Victor Johnson will now wear No. 3.

Captains: OSU captains for the game were senior cornerback Jacob Lacey, junior wide receiver DeMarcus Conner, and senior punter Matt Fodge.

Fodge has been a captain for all four games this season.
