Offense: A

Against a Troy team that was No. 11 nationally in total defense, the Cowboys rolled to 612 total yards and 358 rushing yards. Zac Robinson completed 76 percent of his passes for 254 yards with no interceptions. Running backs Kendall Hunter and Keith Toston had a combined total of 283 rushing yards and four TDs. Wide receiver Dez Bryant had six catches for 118 yards and three TDs.

Defense: A-

Trojan QB Jamie Hampton passed for three TDs and Troy finished with 416 yards (5.8 per snap). But the Cowboy defense did force three turnovers, and the OSU offense capitalized with a touchdown following each turnover. Cornerback Jacob Lacey and end Jeremiah Price each had an interception.

Special teams: B

On a fourth-and-12 play from the Cowboy 31, punter Matt Fodge popped a trick-play run of 16 yards. He punted only twice all night. On eight kickoff returns, Troy averaged 25.1 yards. That's more than the Cowboy coaches would like. Troy's Jorrick Calvin broke a 41-yard return.

Bill,

Although I thought that Troy had a decent offense, you must be smoking something if you think that the defense rates an A-. That was a B- effort at best, actually more like a C+ or C rating.
