Prime time Cowboys: Oklahoma State's Oct. 11 road game against Missouri will kick off at 7 p.m. and be nationally televised on either ESPN-25 or ESPN2-26. The Big 12 Conference will announce Sunday which network will show the game.

The game will mark the first appearance this season on one of the ESPN networks. OSU lost both of its ESPN2 appearances last season, road games at Georgia and Troy. OSU's last ESPN appearance was the 2006 Independence Bowl.

Preparation for two: The quarterback situation at Texas A&M is in a quandary due to shoulder injuries for Stephen McGee and Jerrod Johnson. That has OSU preparing to see both signal callers for the Aggies in this Saturday's 6:05 p.m. game in Stillwater.

OSU defensive coordinator Tim Beckman said, "There's not much difference play-structure wise with one as opposed to the other. Both do things extremely well."

McGee, a senior, is a three-year starter, but has left during two games and sat out an entire game already this season with a sprained right throwing shoulder. McGee was hurt in the Sept. 6 win at New Mexico and sat out the remainder of that game and the Sept. 20 contest against Miami.

McGee returned to the lineup last week against Army, but had to leave in the first half after injuring the shoulder again.

Johnson, a sophomore, started the Miami game. He completed 6-of-10 passes for 53 yards. But Johnson has played through a sprained shoulder of his own and was not sure early last week if he could play.

"It should be fine for this Saturday," Johnson said. "It was pretty sore last Monday. But every day it progressed and got better."

Aggies coach Mike Sherman said McGee's latest injury is not as bad as the one he suffered at New Mexico. Sherman said, however, that McGee's role for the OSU game would not be determined until the team practices Tuesday.

OSU's tight end situation: Coach Mike Gundy continues to say that senior tight end Brandon Pettigrew is "day-to-day" with a sprained ankle and his status for Saturday's Texas A&M game is uncertain. Pettigrew missed the Cowboys' game against Troy.

Gundy gave a lot of credit to tight ends coach Doug Meacham for getting both redshirt freshman Wilson Youman and freshman Jamal Mosley ready to replace OSU's All-Big 12 tight end.

"They're both freshmen and they played like freshmen. But they did well and gave great effort, which is very important," Gundy said. "I thought coach Meacham did a tremendous job in getting them ready to play in a short amount of time. Both handled themselves very well during the game."
