Honors pour in: OSU junior linebacker Andre Sexton was named the Big 12 Conference's defensive player of the week. Sexton had a game-high 13 tackles, one behind the line of scrimmage, and a fourth-quarter interception in OSU's 28-23 victory at Missouri.

Sexton leads OSU with 49 tackles and three quarterback hurries. He also has forced two fumbles and recovered one.

Sexton's honor marked the third time OSU has received the conference's weekly player of the week award. Dez Bryant was the offensive honoree after the Sept. 6 Houston victory and special team recipient following the Oct. 4 Texas A&M win.

Sophomore running back Kendall Hunter is one of four nominees for the AT&T national player of the week honor after his 154-yard rushing performance at Missouri. Fans can text message VOTE to 51234 to vote for Hunter, Texas receiver Jordan Shipley, Arkansas running back Michael Smith or Florida linebacker Brandon Spikes. Voting ends Wednesday night, and the winner will be revealed on ESPN's Thursday college football telecast.

OSU's win at Missouri earned the program a share of the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl national team of the week award given by the Football Writers Association of America, splitting the award with Texas.

ABC picks Texas game: OSU's game at Texas on Oct. 25 will be on ABC (KTUL channel 8 in Tulsa). Kickoff is 2:30 p.m.

Instant classic: ESPN Classic (Cox digital cable 255 in Tulsa) will re-air OSU's win at Missouri at 9 p.m. Tuesday as part of its Instant Classic series.

National attention: OSU's 6-0 record and No. 8 ranking in this week's Associated Press poll has generated a lot of interview requests from different national media outlets, according to OSU media relations director Kevin Klintworth.

On Monday, OSU coach Mike Gundy was a guest on Jim Rome's radio show. Quarterback Zac Robinson did a phone interview Sunday for ESPN's College Football Live program and was a guest on Doug Gottlieb's ESPN Radio show Monday night.
